Delicious Paneer Samosa is ideal for kids tiffin, home party and occasional home snacks. It's quite easy to make but very nice to taste. Let's learn the tricks.
For 15 Samosas you need
Ingredients -
250 g Paneer
50 g cashew
25 g raisin
2 tbsp Cow ghee
1 tsp cumin seed
2 tsp grated coconut
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp sugar
2-3 chopped green Chili
1/2 tsp red chili powder,
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp Kasoori methi (fenugreek leaves)
salt to taste
for samosa shell -
500 g all purpose flour
1 tsp sugar
100 ml white oil,
2 pinch sodium bicarbonate
Method -
Now prepare the filling. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seed, grated coconut, chopped ginger, cashew, raisin, chopped green chili, red chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, salt to taste.
Add Kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
Mix and cook well for few minutes.
Now the filling is ready
Now make the samosa shell.
Mix well these 500 g all purpose flour, add 1 tsp sugar, 100 g white oil, 2 pinch sodium bicarbonate. Don't add salt!
Now add warm water and knead to make a dough.
Make smaller balls from this dough. Spread these balls thinner with a rolling pin. Cut down the middle of the spreaded thinner sheet.
Fold it, like a cone. Brush water at the edges for better sealing.
Now fill the stuffing. close and seal the edges.
Frying -
Put on flame. Pour enough oil in a pan for deep frying. Don't wait for oil to become hot. put the raw samosas immediately into the oil. Let it fry slowly in simmer. Slowly, it'll turn golden brown color.
Take it off the oil.
Your Paneer Samosa is ready. Serve it hot with Mint sauce and Tomato ketchup!
